Quick question to the group. Letterbox series that you have planted,
do you put a log book in each box? Has any one just put a stamp in
the first few with the log book in the last? How would you feel if
you found a series that was set up this way?
Okay a couple of questions and I know there are no rules, I value
your input.

Haven't done it personally but have visited a few other letterbox
series where that is the case. I sort of liked the concept--
especially if the boxes are all within a short distance of
eachother. It certainly reduces your 'stamping in' time quite
significantly. The only hitch is if the final box goes missing,
then the log is gone--one of the interesting facets of the hobby--
seeing all who have previously visited the letterbox and reading
about their experiences at the locale. Always a joy to read the
entries!

Personally, I was worried about the same thing. What if that box was MIA or
people didn't find it. You might also have to deal with a lot of emails
telling you a log was missing if you weren't clear that there was only one
log. I would have reservations about it, even if it saved a little stamping
in time. Your choice though-is it just me or does "no rules" seem to be a
theme of late?

I've seen them both ways.
For example, Ants go Marching in Hampton CT is a series of ten boxes, with
the first (and perhaps last) being a full box with logbook, but the ones in
the middle are micros with just a small stamp.
I've also seen series with logbooks in each box.
You're right though, no rules ;-)

One small thing to consider is that some may not make it all the way through
the series at once. For example, the BeMa kids seem to have a 3 box
"freaking out" limit... Additionally, it is fun to read the comments from
other people (or write them yourselves -- from yourself, not from other
people...) about that particular box. Perhaps the stamp was exceptional or
the clues clever or difficult... Just some thoughts. BeMa
